With all the hype about Acai, and all the super fruits found in nature, let's see what's really true!
We have all heard that Acai, is found in the Amazon rainforest in Central and South America. The natives have consumed this native fruit for generations, and have claimed properties such
as: energy, delayed aging, build the immune system, and effective to eliminate intestinal parasites.
Also, the native population has cited uses of chronic diarrhea and dysentery.
But what does research say?
Acai contains antimutagenic, antiviral, antioxidant, antibacterial,and anti-inflammatory properties. With the antimutagenic agent we can say even anticarcinogenic properties.
In a double-blind, placebo- controlled, crossover trial with 12 healthy people, they tested the claim of antiflammatory
activity. The juice was used as the main ingredient. The clinicalresults were increased levels of antioxidants and the inhibition of lipid peroxidation (protecting from free radical damage).
Another study, proved Acai as a vasodilator! This humble berry
could aid naturally in the treatment of cardiovascular disorders.Another amazing finding is that Human leukemia cells were destroyed when exposed to Acai polyphenolics.For the men, suffering from prostatomeglay, one study was
promising. Two Acai tablets of 80 mg of Acai extract were given daily for one month and they found that the acai
